I’ve been a computer geek since as long as I remember, when my dad brought home our first home microcomputer when I was a kid in 1985. Things were very different then, and now as technology jumps by massive leaps every year, we can do so much with a computer and find the answers to practically any question because of the internet.

As I sit at my corner computer workstation, the whole world is at my fingertips. I can play a game with a friend overseas, chat with relatives far away, see the balance on my checking account, and find a date for the weekend. Anything I want to know about is right in front of me, like I’ve got the world’s biggest set of encyclopedias right here.

The web opens up new worlds of opportunities. I was searching for ways to make money online, and believe me, there’s plenty. There’s so many things you can try, and without access to the web, I’d never have been able to connect to these ideas.

Some supplement their income by making passive income online from e-commerce websites. Sell tangible goods or intellectual property like e-books. The beauty of it is the web is open 24 hours a day, so while you sleep you can be ringing up sales on a web-site and monitor it at your convenience. You can be earning on the weekend while your customers are searching for what they need at the convenience of their desktop.

To me, I get most enjoyment out of watching the video clips on video sites. You can see television programs and video clips that are funny or interesting, and a lot of them are original.

A lot of people are into blogging these days. A Blog is basically an online journal where people can write on anything they like, but most are usually a theme of subjects. You can find blogs covering a load of subjects from political commentary to music and book reviews. Whatever your interest, there’s somebody writing about it!

Kids are growing up in this age of the internet and it’s good to get them used to using it when they’re young. It can be dangerous, but with web monitoring software, you can keep them off explicit websites or chat rooms easily. The web is increasingly becoming part of our daily lives so it’s good to get them used to it as a normal fact of life.

SEO Software

Website SEO: If you’ve now started an internet business or else you’ve had a couple of sites in place for a year or so but you just cannot find why you are not heading up inside the search engine listings.  Well, there can be any number of factors that are undoubtedly hindering search engine rankings.

The following are a handful of prevalent explanations about why your natural search engine positions could be slow-

1: Backlinks. We just recently blogged a full series on the way to manage your link generation venture. Take some time to do a little digging so you can discover how many one-way links you have with regards to the competitors. Employ a lot of the practices I have outlined and attempt to build up a small number of inlinks in support of your websites. Maybe you are only devoid of a number of great backlinks pointing to your web sites which could be the cause as to why you’re giving up organic positioning and even why you are not really ranking at all. Placing backlinks is one process you will need to relentlessly keep up with, when you miss a few weeks or months, you can instantaneously get behind your main competitors. Developing a formidable linking program together with great SEO software is always fundamental.

2: Titles and headings. Your url headline is easily among the major if not the most crucial component to SEO and SEM your site. The title tag is definitely the very first thing the search engines like Yahoo can find. Remember to be using a tailor-made title tag on each of your articles, as well you’re utilizing a search phrase inside this title. The perfect guideline is that you should not get over eighty letters when it comes to a headline. The actual cause of it is simply because SERPs only place so many characters in the SERP page. So you want to be certain they could fit the full title with your listing.

3: Material. Is the text-based content unique? Do you think you’re attaching information regularly? Is the subject material unique? Will you be employing key words in your articles and other content? These are issues you need to be asking yourself. Have you ever asked yourself as to why blogs and forums do so perfectly inside the search engines this is the main reason right here — the SERPs prefer fresh new articles and other content. Supply material to your site all the time. Build a blogging site where you can reveal your products on sales automation software or skin clinics. Including content and articles is often a good way to get your keywords online.

4: 301 Redirects. Not getting 301 redirects constantly in place may very well mess up your current position as well as possibly give you a redundant content concern. Make certain the .htaccess file is in working order as well as right redirects are in position .

There are a lot different matters your website can have. Should you have made many of these improvements and haven’t yet find any difference, keep improving. You are bound to come across what is wrong. It’s sometimes as common as the search engines haven’t found a lot of stuff in your site .

It is becoming more common but the big question I get when talking to people is why use a blog? He must be a web hosting expert. Before I start let me take just a minute to define the term blog. The following is quoted from Dr. Mani one of the earliest marketers to embrace blogs.Yes, it’s a website. With one small difference. It lists posts ordered by date in a personal journal format, and is easier to create than a website ?just involves typing into a form and pushing the PUBLISH button?
The ease of push button publishing of most blog platforms make them one of the easiest web sites to update. On most platforms you don’t need to know HTML though it does help. If you can create a word document you can update a blog. They are extremely easy to get started. Blogger and Word Press both can be started without much more than creating an account and clicking a few choices. Now there are huge advantages to hosting your blog on your own domain. But even there if you have cpanel hosting with Fantastico it is an almost fill in the blank process to get started. No great  Dot5 Hosting review needed.

Search engines like blogs. They are usually updated regularly because it is easy. Compare the type and push a button to update of the average blog platform to creating an HTML page uploading it either through the cpanel or FTP. Much easier so it happens much more often. Blogs tend to have fresher content. The search engines also like the RSS feeds that are created. Properly used feeds can allow you to generate links from other authoritative sites such as Technorati, Feedburner and others. These high PR sites create backlinks to your site which will make the search engines rate you higher. People can easily subscribe to your feed and know when you have updated your site through various RSS readers. Finally, the biggest advantage is that blogs can be interactive. Most blog platforms allow your reader to comment on what you have written. kitchen appliances do  two very good things for you.

JetSubmitter Review and Tutorial

If you’re trying to make money blogging, then you’ll understand by now that SEO or Search Engine Optimization is one of the most critical aspects of your future success. With correct SEO, you can literally get thousands of free visitors from Google, and other search engines like Yahoo and MSN.

Search engine optimization follows a few basic rules that hardly change over time. You need good content, your pages need to be properly optimized, and most importantly you need lots of incoming links to your site. Although there are tons of other factors that the SEO “gurus” talk about, to be honest these are not as vital as the three main factors I just explained above.

Perhaps the most important element of Search Engine Optimization is getting unique one-way links to your blog. The more the better of course, but the quality of these incoming links also matter. A one-way link is a “vote” from another website for yours, and Google loves stuff like that.

Although you can try to build incoming links the traditional way by writing high quality content and leaving comments on other blogs, there are also several blogging tools that can help you out. Such revolutionary blogging software are unknown to almost everyone.

For example, tools like 1WayLinks and Article Marketing Automation allow you to submit unique versions of the same article to an entire network of blogs. Since each blog is publishing an article that is at least 30% unique, Google will index all of them.

Article marketing the traditional way just creates duplicate content which search engines have learned to ignore, so if you want to succeed today you should try using tools like Jet Submitter which can spawn more than 300 unique versions of the same article using a “content spinning” technology.

Of course, you need to use caution when using such systems. Getting too many links in a short time raises a red flag. Let your links build naturally and slowly, and Google will love you for it.

Bloggers Don’t Forget SEO

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Setting up a great blog with current information means nothing to anyone it you receive zero traffic.

If you want people to be able to find your blog, an important factor is you have good

Search Engine Optimization, or SEO.  One of the most important parts of SEO is keyword targeting.  Using keyword targeting or keywords people use to search for your topic in your blog is very important.

Whenever you put one or more words into a search bar to look for something, the SEO of a website is what helps bring up those websites. All search engines look for keywords in websites and blogs that are relevant to the ones you have typed in your search.  If your blog isn’t keyword rich other blogs will be displayed and you don’t get traffic.

For example, if your blog is about Harry Potter, you are going to want to be sure that your blog includes popular terms such as Harry Potter, JK Rowling, and

other things that are related to Harry Potter. Think about the things that people look for when they are interested in Harry Potter, and the kinds of

things that come up when you search.

It’s important to decide on your blogs over all theme and then find the keywords people use to search for your theme or topic. Very important, set up your blog using keyword research.  You have to weave the keywords into your headlines, text and meta tags.

Years ago clever bloggers and webmasters thought they could stack the deck.Website owners tried keyword loading with lines and lines of a single keyword to fool search engines.  Their theory was with all those keywords they would certainly rank with the search engines. It was fun while it lasted but the relevance was never there and search engines put a stop to that.

So, there is a bit of an art here.  You have to wave the keywords throughout your blog. The goal should be to insert just enough keywords without stuffing it.Every SEO expert likes to see different percentages of keywords. This needs a longer discussion than we have space here because of the technical factors.

The bottom line is keywords are a big part of your organic search traffic.  You need to grab some good SEO EBooks and spend a day or two researching this.  This will be time well spent.  Visit Crazy Bob’s EBooks for great SEO education. Check out Aaron Wall’s SEOBook

The first step in building a website is the registration of a domain name.  Whether you are building a site to advertise your local business, an e-commerce site, photo or video or music download site, information site, or if you want to start up a website to advertise your garage band, the entire endeavor begins with the choice of your domain name.

The next logical question you might ask- “What determines the best domain name choice?”.  Well it depends.  What I mean by that is if your site is just going to be devoted to family photos and events, domain name choice isn’t as important as it might be otherwise.  Why?  Most likely in that case you’re not looking for lots of traffic, friends and family are your desired audience, to keep them informed.  So your domain name choice in a case like that is not as crucial as it would be if you were looking for tons of traffic to the site.

So you can name a website anything as long as it is only meant for a select few.  It’s only if traffic is a factor and you want to attract customers, and as many as possible, that the domain name you choose to register really matters.  So……

What if you want as much traffic to your website as possible?  What if you are looking for business on the internet?

It really can bring huge dividends to have a domain name that draws attention to your website or company.  Put some thought into how people search.  For example, if your company sells insurance or doughnuts or bowling pins or toilet bowls, find a way to incorporate WHAT YOU DO in the website domain name.  So be sure and choose carefully when deciding on a domain name.  Best case scenario is to get the name of your business as a dot com or dot net, etc.  In lieu of that, at least try to get the category of business that you are in incorporated in your domain name.  For example, an antiques website should have a domain name like antiques.com or bobsantiques.com, something that immediately associates the domain name with the theme of the site.  It’s all about branding, and making a lasting impression on the target audience or customers.

You need to search the WhoIs database to find a domain name that has not already been registered.  I have conveniently placed a domain name search engine on StartYourWebsiteToday.com for this very purpose.  When searching for the domain name, the results given will instantly show whether or not the domain name is available, and if so, give you the option to immediately register it.  If it’s not available, several alternative domain names will be proposed, to help you fine tune your search, or possibly giving you an acceptable alternative domain name to register instead.

The first step in building a website is the registration of a domain name.  Whether you are a butcher, baker, or candlestick maker, or if you want to start up a website to advertise your garage band, the entire endeavor begins with the selection of a domain name.

The next logical question you might ask- “What constitutes a good domain name choice?”.  Well it depends.  What I mean by that is if your site is just going to be devoted to family photos and events, domain name choice isn’t as important as it might be otherwise.  Why?  Because in a case like that you probably don’t really care about gaining a lot of traffic to your website, your site is probably only something you are going to produce for family and friends, to keep them up to date.  So your domain name choice in a case like that is not as critical as it would be if you were looking for tons of traffic to the site.

So really what is most important in coosing your unique domain is the TYPE of site you want to publish.  If it is only for friends to see, it hasn’t got as much relevance as a business related or e-commerce website.  However…

What if you are looking to attract customers?  And to get as much traffic coming to your site as possible?

The simple answer is, it can bring huge dividends to have a domain name that reflects your website or company.  If your website is about car parts for example, do you really expect the average web surfer to remember how to get to your website if it is named “bobsthingsforsale.com” or some other unrelated name?  So be sure and choose carefully when deciding on a domain name.  Best case scenario is to get the name of your business as a dot com or dot net, etc.  In lieu of that, at least try to get the category of business that you are in incorporated in your domain name.  For example, a car parts website should have a domain name like carparts.com or bobsautoparts.com, something that immediately associates the domain name with the theme of the site.  It’s all about branding, and making a lasting impression on the target audience or customers.
