Web Promotion Strategies For Newbies
One of the best ways of gaining additional traffic is to build up the number of backward links you have pointing to your website. The best form of link is a one-way link, where a website adds a link to your site but does not get one back from you. There are a number of ways of obtaining these type of links including:
Writing articles. Writing articles like this one has many benefits. Other webmasters may add the article to their blog or website and this creates you a one-way link. The people reading the article are also potential visitors to your site~Then there are the people who get to read the article; these are also people who could visit your site if they clickthrough to it}. This is something that I have been doing to promote my stuttering therapy website and what is more I enjoy writing about the best way on how to stop stuttering.
Joining in debates in various forums. I also like to read through and contribute to a number of forums. Not only do I learn a great deal, I am also able to get links back to my sites when I make a comment.
Submitting your site to directories.
Making comments on other peoples blogs. This is my least favourite of all of these examples as it can be seen as spam. Other people however do think it can prove to beneficial. I must say that I stay away from anything that could be seen as spam.
If you are struggling to find content you could use other peoples articles to help you. It is a good idea to have each of the sites in the network on a different server. This however can be very expensive and therefore for a smaller business may not be best advice.
There are a number of ways in which you can fund the project such as adding adsense to the site as well as affiliate links. This may not bring in huge amounts of money but could go some way to helping with hosting and domain renewal costs – this is something that a good friend once did with his budget package holidays and cheap phone calls websites.
In the future this network could be worth thousands of pounds if you have spent enough time promoting each site. This is when you are able to potentially cash in on all of your hard work by selling all of the sites – then you can sit back and chill out – yes hard work pays off.

The Benefits Of Article Marketing
I wrote my first article about twelve months ago and submitted it to a number of what I consider to be the main article directories. These included ezinearticles, goarticles, ideamarketers and searchwarp. Looking back I have to admit that I did not really know what I was doing, and in truth the article was not that impressive. I continued to write more articles and continued to make mistakes.
Unlike other directories who seem to accept any old article, ezinearticles check what you are submitting. I am now spending a lot more time when I write the articles and feel that they have gradually improved, this has been confirmed by Wally himself I am pleased to report.
So do I personally think that article marketing is beneficial? I have had e-mails from all around the world from people who have enjoyed reading my articles, maybe I am a bit sad but this gives me a little buzz. I have gained a one-way link from a number of these people after they decided to include my piece of work on their websites or blogs. They have helped my composite doors website to rise up the rankings and has also helped to promote the stuttering therapy service that I offer. I managed to stop stuttering a few years ago and as a career I now help other people to achieve fluency.
Each and very person that gets to read the article is a potential visitor to your website – this is traffic you would not have course received had you not written the article. That visitor could of course turn into a client or purchaser of your product/s.
For me search engines are going down the path of seeing one-way backward links as by far the most powerful form of link. One way links are not as easy to obtain, however writing articles has the potential of creating many one way backward links to you site and therefore is a must for any serious webmaster.
