A Guide To Improving Search Engine Ranking

SEO techniques are very useful to get your website up and running to where you want it to be to the point where natural SEO starts to take over.  When I create links outside of my own website I make sure that the search engines know about them.  This way I can get an added link value to the ones I create.  I bookmark every single one.  There are pieces of software out there to help you with this process.  Don’t play games with the search engines, just follow good fundamentals.

In my SEO training course, I learned that I should go out and get a whole bunch of different kinds of links going back to your website.  Making blog comments is a very good thing to do.  You can find many of them with a good PR ranking.  This includes forums as well.  If you haven’t checked out the ask/answer sites, these are good places to go as well.

Sometimes people want to invest in a domain name that has some years behind them, because these businesses have made it a good practice to go out and get links going back to their websites.

I focus my websites by going after one particular target.  The keywords I pick are all related to each other in some way shape or forum.  I do extensive research.  When you veer into a more competitive niche, you have to come up with a different game plan that should be aggressive.

Have you ever set up a blog before?  If not, then you should.  Blogs have great ways of attracting the search engine spiders because of the different keywords that you can focus on with your article writing.  Concentrate on writing good quality articles.  They say that search engines are good to you when you focus on good content, but sometimes it is like that.  That is why your linking should be natural.  I think search engines link quality linking.

Linking is at the heart of each SEO marketing campaign.  You can follow things by the 80/20 rule.  80% of your search engine ranking will be coming from links and 20% of it will determine what you put on your website.

Think of search engines like someone telling someone else about a research report.  The more people that link to you and say that you should check you out the better your search engine ranking will be.  It’s somewhat like a recognition contest.  Is A more popular than B?  When you concentrate on good linking practices this step will help the search engines ID what kind of website you have.

When people get to the point where they want to link you to, you can’t really control how they are linking to you, so when you pick your domain name you should have your keyword in the URL.  Those are some of the SEO techniques that I like to use.
