Understanding the way Search Engines work, is critical to the success of your internet business. Do you really think it is possible for customers to beat down your doors, when you build a store in the middle of nowhere?

That is what many beginners on the Internet do. They are under the mis-conception, that “If they build it, they will come” and so they sit in the wilderness and can’t figure out why only a couple of people stumble into their business.

Generating traffic as a business element can be accomplished through the techniques and elements provided int his article.

If you will JUST apply the basics of what I teach you in this book, it will take your business to the next level of business and beyond, but let me emphasize, that I do not cover the advanced techniques you will need to make your business explode into the stratosphere. You will need to purchase my Advanced SEO Handbook, or get further education.

Your knowledge of Internet marketing, traffic generation, and onpage - offpage SEO, is mandatory for success. You may want to get education

1. Where we educate you in Optimized Marketing Strategies, Strategic Marketing Planning, and SEO.

2. Where we offer a complete education in every area of running an Internet Marketing as a business

3. where you can specialize in SEO and become Certified as an SEO Specialist.

I need to re-iterate, that it is critical if you plan to succeed that you learn everything you can regarding the way search engines work.

It is the search engines that bring your website to the notice of the prospective customers. It is the search engines that provides the equivalence of thousands of signs along the trails to tell people where you are at and how to get there.

When a user enters a topic in their search box, the search engine kicks into gear instantly. The search engine immediately sifts through the millions of web pages, articles, Social media posts, videos, and other miscellaneous pages on the web that have been indexed and returns the data that is the most relevant to the topic the user entered. the data that is most relevant is always returned first, and it is always ranked by relevancy and popularity. No one really knows all the variables of the algorithm’s that accomplish this task, there are some basic factors that have become common knowledge to those in the know.

Unless you have been under a rock for the last 10 years, you already know that Google owns the world!! He ha he ha.. Seriously, Google does control most of the web universe and so it is looked upon as the master, and the Google search engine is the most important to understand, and they set the standards bar for the other search engines to reach.

Understanding Google’s perspective and what they are trying to accomplish, is the key to maximizing the power of the Search Engines and the techniques you use to reach the page rankings that you are after.

Googles main theme is. What are they trying to accomplish/ What is their main objective? This is not always obvious, and it is certainly not a sitting target, the fact is that googles main priority is to provide it's users relevant data and a superior user experience r. Googles priority is to provide an excellent user experience.

Knowing that it only makes sense to concentrate your efforts on SEO techniques that work under all conditions. I think you should approach SEO like you would buy a Brooks Brother’s suit. Let me explain How a Brooks brother suit applies, if you are not familiar with them. When you buy a Brooks Bother’s suit, you know a couple of things:

1. These methods will not only stay fasionable for years, more importantly they will continue to work

2. It will work for years, even though you might have to adjust it here and there

3. Your work will not fall by the wayside.

You will see and hear all types of fad SEO techniques, many are called Black hat. Though some of these Black hat techniques can shoot you to the top of the Search Engines, it does not last, and in many cases, Google will penalize you for months to come, when they discover them.

Take my advise, and do not ever wear the Black hat. Put on the White hat, be patient, and enjoy your efforts for years to come, without looking over your shoulders.

Remember that a prospective customer normally will not go past the first page of the Google listings, so if you are not in at least the first 2 or 3 pages, you might as well not even exist. It is a critical long term goal to reach page 1 through consistent and persistent effort on your major keywords.

With proper planning, you can reach page 1 on some of your keywords within a month, another set of keywords in 3 months, yet another more popular set of keywords in 6 months, and even if it takes you 2 years to reach page 1 for the most popular keywords, this effort will pay off with rewards beyond your imagination with 10’s, if not 100’s of thousands of Free visitors each and every month.

Now, I will be talking a lot about Google and I want to make sure that you understand that there are 100’s of search engines, but Google is the grand Daddy of them all. There are no other traffic generation methods, that can compare to the volume of traffic available from the 1st tier search engines.

So even though I refer to Google heavily, the way the search engines work and their algorithms are different and your traffic will depend on which search engines the customers use and how they rank your site.

Part 2 will cover the rest….
