Offsite SEO Is All About Getting Backlinks
Offsite SEO=backlinks, it’s as simple as that! While onsite SEO will only take your site so far, offsite SEO can put your site on page one of the serps (search engine results page). The best place to be if getting money generating traffic is your goal!
There are many types of back links out there, and their authority varies in the eyes of the search engines. So how does one go about getting these back links and which are the best to go after? here are some of the places I get my backlinks from, you will find these to be some of the best out there:
Completely “natural” back links-These would be links from other webmasters who feel your content is so good, or so complete, or so…you get the picture. Keep all your content as “high quality” as you can, as this can build backlinks in and of itself! These are the kind of links that will make Google take notice of your blog! After writing your piece, it takes no more effort on your part to get these kinds of links which is nice!
One-way links from high quality, high page rank, sites in your niche-Not easy to come by (especially for new sites) but very powerful none the less! Whether you trade for them, buy them (frowned upon by Goog!) or whatever, they can give you blog a much needed boost up the serps!
Submit Articles-A good source of very high quality (many directories have good PR’s) links to your pages, just too good a resource to pass on. If you know your subject well enough, you will need to do very little research, you can devote all your time to just writing! Writing articles quickly just takes practice, and knowing your niche topic well. I’ve written as many as 5 good solid articles in just a few hours, and so can you! Article Marketing tends to be a numbers game with more just about always being better.
Offer to write “guest posts” in blogs in your niche-Start with the high PR blogs and work your way down, always offer high-quality, unique content. You might be amazed at the number of webmasters that will trade a few links for good quality content (I will!). Of course you need a link or two in the guest post back to your site;o).
Add Hubpages, Blogspot blogs, Squidoo Lenses, etc-As they can bring much needed link-juice to your money site, and by themselves gain some authority. If making money online is your goal (it’s mine) once you find a niche that is making you some money you just need to build more Internet real estate (web sites, blogs, etc) in that niche! Build more blogs, hubpages, lens, etc. in your niche-become your own competition-get more than one of your pages in the top of the serps.
Use Blog Directories-Most are free (I love the free stuff!) just takes some time to sign up.
Leave comments on other blogs and posts on related forums-Be sure you’re comments and posts are not spammy, you don’t want them deleted:o). Comment of related blogs in your niche, but make sure the links will be do-follow, also look for blogs that have Keywordluv/Commentluv plugins, as well as the Top Commentator plugin (as this can give you a site-wide link!).
Get social-Get involved in the social sites, in other words start twittering, digging, stumbling, tumblring, you get the idea!
It’s said by people whose opinion I respect that you should spend only about 20% of your online time creating content and on onsite seo, spend the other 80% of your time getting high quality back links. If making money online is in your plans at all, you should try to build as many good relevant back links (on an ongoing basis) as possible. This can get you to the first spot on page one of the serps (hopefully) and bring you a ton (depending on your keywords) of search engine traffic to monetize! Good luck, and remember spend a good portion of your time building good, high quality, relevant, backlinks!
